Yes! Preppy certification programs are offered through our accredited university partner. When you complete your program, you'll receive a university-issued Certificate of Completion. The curriculum is built to align with NHA standards, so graduates are fully prepared to sit for the CCMA certification exam.

The program is 100% self-paced, so you can move at your own speed. Most students finish in about 3–6 months, but you’ll have up to a full year of access to the program if you want to take your time.

All required course materials are included with your enrollment: interactive lessons, videos, quizzes, and assignments.

After you complete the program, you'll have access to Preppy's career support services for an additional six months. This includes:

• Job search support

• Connections to our extensive healthcare job placement network

• Resume guidance

• Interview prep resources

It’s all about helping you find the job that fits you best as you take the next step in your career. 

No prior experience needed. The program is designed for complete beginners and takes you through everything step by step — from patient care basics to certification exam prep.

Certification exam fees aren’t included. Keeping exam costs separate helps us keep the program as affordable as possible, so that there are no hidden fees and you don’t have to take out student loans.

The externship opportunity is optional and unpaid, and includes up to 40 hours total of hands-on experience. Those hours can be completed over several weeks, depending on the site’s schedule. Placement is coordinated by our externship partner and is typically located within about 30 miles of your home. 

The externship opportunity is a volunteer opportunity, so it doesn’t include a salary or wages. That said, it’s a valuable, optional part of the program that gives you hands-on experience in your field — and it’s a major bonus offered by Preppy to help you build real-world skills.

Preppy is the training program. The CCMA is the certification exam administered by the NHA.
