What are the virtual simulations, and how do they work?

Virtual surgical simulations are immersive, interactive learning experiences that let you practice real surgical procedures in a realistic operating room environment before beginning clinical training. Rather than simply reading about surgery, you'll actively participate in complete procedures from start to finish while building the skills used by surgical technologists every day.

Throughout the simulations, you'll practice identifying and sequencing surgical instruments, following proper sterile technique, understanding OR workflows, and anticipating the surgeon's needs during a procedure. You'll receive objective performance feedback and can repeat each simulation as many times as needed to build confidence and master the material.

Are certification exam vouchers included in the cost of the program?

Yes, your voucher for the TS-C exam is included with tuition at no additional cost.

That means if you pursue the TS-C certification, you won't have to pay extra for the exam needed to earn your credential — you can focus on completing your training and preparing for certification.

If you choose to pursue an additional certification, you’ll be responsible for any associated exam fees. Exam preparation materials are available and provided for the TS-C exam only.

What's the difference between this program and the TS-C certification?

The Surgical Technologist program provides the education and training, while the TS-C is a nationally recognized credential awarded after you pass the exam.
